Injector pump - pump head replacement?

I have a chance to get a military surplus NEW Injection Pump Head & Rotor at a reasonable price. I had a shop tell me my problem is my injector pump is worn out.

Can you replace just the Injection Pump Head & Rotor or do you need to replace/rebuild the entire injector pump? Is it a good idea to replace just the pump head or would that just be more problems?

Money is tight so I am trying to shave a few bucks where I can. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yes you can just replace parts of the pump

If you want to save money though, you should be working on it yourself!

And most "rebuilds" consist of testing the pump to ensure it is in spec, then replacing the seals.
Your idea is better with new parts and while it is apart, you can do all the seals
