M 1008 Alternator Bracket bolt to water pump snapped at WP

Ok I was installing alternator, passengerside, installed machine bolt through bracket into waterpump housing {I guess} it snapped were bolt goes into...I tightened to much and cracked, can I weld, is this part aluminum or cast iron...any help will be appreciated

The big long bolt on the bottom of the passenger side alternator goes into the cylinder head. Figure 34 of the -34P shows this.

How far into the head is it?

If it is near the surface, put a nut over it and weld the broken bolt to the inside of the nut. Careful where you hook up your ground lead. Let the weld cool and then use a wrench to screw the broken part out.

Thanks bro got it figured out ...will take out bolt that goes to the WP holding fuel line, and will put bolt long enouth sort of clamp together...lets see?
