MEP 003A metal fatigue after 600 hours

Our little brass alloy fitting NSN 4730-00-287-1614 suffered metal fatigue
It is part of the oil distribution system

genset was reset in 2006 with 3 hours and we got now 630 hours on it

Hopefully you caught it before there was serious damage. Ive seen that happen as well with overtightening of fittings. Torque doesn't replace a proper sealant

it was in the shop for regular maintenance. Oil switch stopped genset at 15psi - so no worries
