Hello all,

just thought I'd post a picture of my M880 from a trail ride up in the mountains near here back in August. I was the only full size truck in a posse of jeeps!! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve">

Man, I'm really starting to fall for these trucks. I've been so brand loyal all my life but having my M887 has woke me up. Thats just a cool looking truck!

Are those the original type of troop seat? I've heard that M880 and M1008 seats are the same or at least interchangeable. On an off note, I used to take my M35A2 though a drive through light show at Christams with a bunch of family in the back. Cheif complaints were noise and the smell of diesel fumes. I sure wouldn't have that with the ultra quiet M880 now would I?

These were actual M880 troop seats ( I verified some part numbers.) I picked them up for $45.00 at a surplus place near here. They have a whole stack of them just rotting away out in the yard (not a high demand for these I guess.) The wood slats are all weather rotted, but they are still good for the metal parts. By the time I'm finished replacing the oak slats, the wood will probably have cost me three times what I originally paid for them! Oh well, that's how it goes. You'd be hard pressed to find any with wood parts in good condition. I'm also working on gathering all the parts for the rubberized canvas top. I'll post pics as soon as I get some of those parts installed.

McGuyver, that is a very nice looking truck. You did a great fob on the paint. I have an 887 and want to put on a regular pick up bed on it. It is painted desert camo. It has had the lower corners of the fenders modified for bigger, possibly humvee tires. It has the black lambda painted on the doors which leads me to believe it went over to Saudi Arabia. I wish there was a way to find out if that was true. George

Dilvoy;
Where are you from? I suspect you forgot to put this into the signature box. Y'all might want to edit this so we can become enlightened as to your home domicile (state is asked for and city would be nice too...) is located. We're always curious where people on the site are located. Thanks! Any questions just look at my signature for an example of someone going overboard.
