Oil pressure issue

Ok all-
Here's where I am:

I rebuilt the T230 Tornado, no oil pressure on the electric oil pressure gauge, so I put a manual testing gauge on and still no pressure.

I pulled the oil pump and made sure it's primed, still no pressure on the gauge.

I pulled the quick disconnect off of the testing gauge and turned her over and I'm getting g oil pumping out, so the pump is pumping.

I'm still getting no pressure on the gauge. I've removed the valve cover and looked to see if I was getting oil out of the cam oiler holes and can't tell.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss

The fitting you broke was for the pipe going to the head on the back of the block, correct? I’m just trying to think of restriction locations.

Another thought is the oil filter. The flow is pump, filter, crank and then up to the head, right? Pull the filter, see if oil flies. I had this happen on a 6.2 I was trying to get started. Wrong filter and no oil flow or pressure.

I broke the fitting to the block that Ts into the line to the head and the oil pressure sensor. I pulled the QD and oil did, indeed, fly.

My oil pump was kinda thrashed on the bottom, I think from debris circulating when the piston took a crap.

And being as I don't know the status of the donor engine oil pump, at this point I think I'm going to order another one.

In for a penny and all that....

Are you experiencing the no oil pressure issue while cranking or while briefly running? If only cranking, maybe that is not enough speed to build up sufficient pressure. I would check mine but it's down at the moment. Maybe the oil filter is not filled yet? The pump does not look horrible.

I let it run for about 15-20 seconds, definitely long enough for pressure to build.
