Oil spray across rear hubs

After viewing the pics, would you say I have a problem? I know the root problem is that I bought a deuce... Now with that said, any inputs on whether or not this is an indication of a serious problem-or just the fact of owning a FMV? The rig was refitted just a few hundred miles ago, so I am surprised that I have this situation. The passanger side rear hub showed some indications of a leak a few weeks ago. However, nothing significant developed. A few days ago the driver side rear hub started the same thing. After my post-drive walk-around, I discovered the mess. Would experience say this is a seal gone bad or just 'normal' seepage? Thanks for any words.

Its either your axle seal or you have a leaking wheel cylinder. Check your vent tube on top of the axle and verify it's not plugged up which could cause leakage. Also check the fluid in the rear axle. It should be one knuckle under the fill hole. If its your wheel cylinder leaking dont drive it until its fixed

Gotta pull them anyway and see what's going on in there. Mines all apart now because of seal leaks. I think I had the oil cooled brake shoe option.

Here is a picture of the vent. Metallic looking spring object.

Kind of a vague description considering the picture lol...one might say that its the little thing sticking up from the axle just to the left of the differential...just my 2cents

so out of sheer boredom....i labeled it for you [thumbzup]

So just about 4 months later....The hub was pulled to find the bearing greased washed out and the seals in good condition. I think the original problem must have been a pressure situation with the axle vent. I replaced the vent with some tubing and ran that up to the air filter (to be integrated into a closed system when I get more time). I now have a reserve stock of seals and wheel cylinders/seals for future leaks.:D Thanks to all for your insight and reference data.
Attached are some project porn pics...featuring the bar-o-justice (one nut was giving me grief)--it was prosecuted by the bar , key channel which was barley filled with some cork, and my little work friend (a Brown Recluse?)--I found him hanging out when I was cleaning up the job..
