Thanks very much for all this information. I will make certain it is not seized, then offer it for free to whomever wants to pay for the shipping. I have no use for it, and there isn't much money involved.
In ref. to my thread "Engine Identification" : I have determined that the engine is not seized. However, I was unable to post a classified ad offering the engine for free, so this will have to do. Contact me if you would like the engine and are prepared to arrange shipping. I can load it on to a truck. Otherwise it goes to the landfill.

Thanks

I'd hate to think of this going to the landfill, so let me look up some specs and look into some shipping options. Probably not a bad idea to have spare parts for the M36 I'm picking up from @rflegal. Pm inbound

Dose it have the valve cover breather still attached? I'd be interested in that if you would being willing to separate. I'd get the complete engine but I don't have room for a spare.

Nick, if you're not in a hurry I could bring it next time I go through ABQ. No idea when that would be.

I'm in no hurry, so that may well be the easiest option if you don't mind storing it under a tarp in the meantime. Will gladly compensate for picking it up and bringing it to ABQ.
I've got a tarp and a pallet. It's welcome to sit here until next trip to AZ.

Does it weigh more than 1000lbs?

It's about 150 miles from me. I'm free as of Tuesday.

At the current moment she sits on a pretty stout pallet. The front end sits on the crankcase. The back motor mounts are on top of some bricks, and it is level from front to back. Dimensions are approx. 28" wide, 38" high, 48" long, excluding the attached tranny, which adds another 18" and hangs over the back of the pallet.

I live on a farm, have a tractor w/bucket and a skid steer, so we can load it, and even do carpentry if necessary to make it more stable on the pallet. If you want to take off the tranny for some reason, we can do that too.

I've got a 1ton ram with an 8' bed and I've also got a flatbed trailer.

I see no reason to remove the tranny. I'll just plan to bring the trailer.

What's your availability next week?

Thanks

Next week would work, I believe. Let me check calendar and get back to you, and we can make a specific plan. It appears you'd be coming down from the north on I-77. If so, I live 1 mile west of I-77 south of El Dorado on a gravel road.
