Ramsey RE12000 Winch

Have an opportunity to pick up a used Ramsey RE12000 24v pulled from a HMMWV. Done a few searches and I don't seem to find this winch mentioned much - is there a reason for that? Problems with it or just rare or ? Are mounts available for this unit for an M998?

I do not know anything about this model. I know the majority use Milemarker hydraulic and heard of Warn on some for electric but not familiar with this brand being used. Others more knowledgeable can expand.

they are good winches weather pto ,hydraulic, or electric hat is the staple for most light wreckers.I have never seen one on a military application. 12 k is kind of heavy for a 998 the first ones came with an 8 k planetary warn,the later up armored models had a 2 speed mile marker

Yes, definitely off a hmmwv, saw the unit one of them came from. Unfortunately, not all of the mount is still there so would need to come up with or build mounting kit.
