I have a dt466, 9513 with dual overdrives transmission, with original transfer case in a m62. It will run about 72mph governed out. I saw where someone said that by shutting off the air to the transfer case it would take it out of gear. I was wandering if that would be an advantage. I have a air shifter mounted to my gearshift to shift my transfer case from forward to reverse. The transfer case does not always shift and sometimes I forget to shift. Can anyone tell me if there is an advantage to shutting off the air to transfer case when not in use.
