Hi, all!

Seattle, WA area and vicinity. Looking for three (3) current vintage operating military vehicles for the short pilot of a proposed New Media series. One (1) Hummer-type plus two(2) smaller personnel transports. If the owners wish, they can dress in character and be part of the project. :)

Rather a low budget on this, but we will cover all expenses (like fuel, etc.), plus good, nourishing food, ongoing snacks, and a fun shoot with a dedicated award-winning cast & crew.

Should not involve more than one long day. No combat action. No dirt, blood, sex, nudity, zombies, explosions, or rough terrain. Yes, I know... boring.

Can likely schedule around the concurrent availability of the three vehicles.

Project story & details to interested individuals.

Thanks for reading!

New Media Project - Follow-Up

What vintage? Clarify on what a 'personnel transport' is?
Thanks for responding.

Vintage would be as close to current as possible. The story takes place more or less in the present.

I'm not an expert in military vehicles/hardware, but basically vehicles to get people from here to there and back. In other words, they
don't have to be equipped with weaponry. Not unsuitable if they are, they just don't need to be.

Something along the lines of a Humvee or similar and if there are smaller vehicles for carrying people, like the latest version of the old Jeep or similar.

The point in the story where they're used is when a small armed contingent is sent into a U.S. suburban neighborhood to passively retrieve an individual important to a specific military operation. Additional soldiers are sent along just in case. The exposure of an obvious military presence has been weighed against the urgency and the need to protect this specific individual.

Again, thanks!

uparmored HMMWVs are what you're looking for. Possibly an MRAP or Stryker. I doubt you'll find an MRAP or Stryker, though ;)

I don't think you'd find an uparmored HMMWV either, TBH.

Best bet would be to contact the PIO/PAO of the NG and see if you can't steal one for a day. You'd be surprised what you can get with the promise of some free advertising, although a smaller project is less likely to get support.

Easier thing to do, and more likely, would be to just rent a couple of Tahoes or Suburbans, for the day..

PointSource,

We don't have anything smaller than a HMMWV. that's the smallest vehicle in the inventory. Outside of quads/motorbikes/ATVs/Gators...

Honestly, if someone is rolling up to do a "pickup" of some VIP we probably wouldn't use HMMWVs, as long as GSAs/TMPs are available from the motorpool... Ideally We'd be looking for Suburbans or pickups or something similar... more than likely Tahoe's these days. Not the XLs... But a vehicle is a vehicle.

HMMWVs are cool, but they are not the best vehicle to be rolling around in if you don't want attention. They are loud, they are big, they draw attention...

If you were doing a "knock" you'd probably have a vehicle at each end of the street, a pickup vehicle with an empty seat or two (rear seat/bench) and maybe a second for a security detail. Heck, depending on the area and situation, it may be local PD shutting down the street.
