we call our place Fort Burns, after the street name. We're nestled right into a pretty raw neighborhood, lots of hostility, apathy and no other citizens, just denizens <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve"> In fact, we've got the only flag in a 10 block radius :(

MM!

Why don't you move in, next door to me! That way we could lay down some razor wire, a few floodlights, and have a "redneck" compound! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="Wink">

I love it when my neighbors just stare at my Deuce when I bring it home! They always knew that I was crazy, and I insist on reminding them frequently! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_tongue.gif" alt="Tongue">

You are lucky that your Deuce fits in your driveway! My Deuce won't clear the trees at home, so I have to keep it in a building, at my buddy's constuction yard! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_thumbs_dwn.gif" alt="Thumb Down">

Im glad i live where i do, the nearest neighbors are around the dirt road and out of site from the house, i live on a dead end road here, no street lights no traffic. the nearest town is 20min away and the nearest what we would call a major city, Bristol,Va is 1 1/2 hrs from here. God i love it hehehe...
I have been contemplating a mine field, LOL and kewl razor wire, just like at work

sounds like what I'm looking for! Actually we are dbating on what we should do. We don't want to move to the sticks cause we have no real way of supporting our hobbies (which are expensive). It would be nice to live the simple life but I like my toys too much so we need to get some sort of mail order business going. Write books or something.

There's some rural NV towns I wouldn't mind living in

yeah, it's good to have military vehicles clogging up the driveway, if it were anything else people might not be afraid to complain to the cops <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve">

I'll just tell them they're unAmerican for complaining <img src="emoticons/icon_smilie_bitchin.gif" alt="Bitchin">

I'm still not certian why my neighbors tolerate me. At one point I had 5 deuce vans in here that I was scrapping. Looked like small section of the yard at MCLB Albany. I reckon its my quick to help attitude and whenever anything gets stuck around here, I'm the first one called. A few weeks back I had a full day of recovery around here. Pulled out the neighbors, contractors rubber tire loader, a dump truck the other neighbors golf cart and my son's 6 volt powerwheels atv. He just wasn't happy with me picking it up, he wanted it tugged out with a strap. Oh yeah, 2 stumps of trees blown down by the recent hurricanes as well. I guess I'll need that dual winch pipeline truck!

You mean that you don't have that pipeline truck finished yet! <img src="emoticons/icon_smilie_bitchin.gif" alt="Bitchin">

You have had a whole week! What's taking so long! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="Wink">

RC4X4!

I know if I was lucky enough to find a pipeline truck, that I would want it done real fast!

I did see the pictures, and you DO have a project on your hands! I wish that I was closer so I could help you with it! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_thumzup.gif" alt="Thumb Up">

<font color="green">[4]<font face="Comic Sans MS">The project really isn't as bad as it seems. If I can find a nice deuce donor vehicle it will be even easier. I have a cab thats already bare so some quick prep and a coat of paint and on it goes. The exsiting cab has a real nice wiring harness so then its a matter of swapping stuff over. When the cab and bed is off I'll do up the frame to motorpool standards and start buttoning things back together. If I had a sack of Grant's it would only be about 6 to 8 weeks. Since I don't have that sack, it will be longer. I'm excited about this one since it's a Navy truck and I'm a Navy brat. My father will be most pleased as he looks on from up above!</font id="Comic Sans MS">[/4]</font id="green">

Did you ever find out if the outfit in Oshkosh Wisconsin had anything that you need?

Will you be making a pilgimige to the frozen North? <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_paw.gif" alt="Paw">

We're really lucky, the "Shop" has 17 acres attached to it, plenty of room to park the deuce' and all our other "toys"
<img src="http://redneck.theexitwound.com/pictures/shop.jpg" border="0">
And check out all that real estate, perfect for minefields, easy to secure LZ's and overlapping fields of fire, I dare anyone on the block to try and take it! :D

I have an idea! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_idea.gif" alt="Idea">

Check with larger pipeline companies to see if they have any pipeline trucks!

They probably bought them up, as they became surplus, and there are all kinds of them sitting in yards, not being used!

See if there is a magazine for the industry and place a wanted ad!

I'll bet you will be surprised at what you will find! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_thumzup.gif" alt="Thumb Up">
