Will leaking fuel pump make it cut off?

M1123 6.5L. Had the truck die twice now on two short test drives. Turned the start lever off and back on and it fires back up.
Folks said to check #54 at the fuel cut off solenoid and check the fuel filter....

Just noticed that the fuel pump has a nice leak.... Obviously, going to replace the pump.
Could this cause enough of a pressure drop in the system that the IP cuts off or some other solenoid intervenes?

Thank you.... Hopefully that will cure it. The engine stops like you turned it off but the lights and electrical stay on
