is there a difference in transmissions between the 2320-077-1616s and the 1617s? and, if there isnt, how hard is it to attach the PTO drive for the winch to it?

Nsn isn't really helpfull here. The m35 trans should be a 3035. Some are overdrive some aren't. The correct winch for an m35 will hook to both with the same effort. The thing that makes the MOST effort will be a gasser's driveshaft in a multi powered truck. Clearancing of the bell housing is needed. Did that help any?
