In tank fuel pump substitute for M35

I've read people have used 24v Walbro in tank marine pumps with success, a bit pricier than some but still half price of an original pump. I really like simps idea though, hard to foul a pump out if it's not in the constant fouling grossness that is the deuce fuel cell.

Michigan HB 4183 on Historic Registration

I have mine titled as a commercial vehicle for personal use, no restrictions and I can pull whatever I want with it (for myself). This however is good news for those who register theirs as HMVs, as the whole one month thing was ridiculous.

    1969 M35A2 West Mitten

I picked mine up from the Manton area, drove 42 to 66, (I don't like 10), 20 to 30 and bam, 4hrs later we were home. Cruised those nice back roads at 48mph, 12ish mpg, and only had to downshift for 2 hills 😆. Hope your trip goes well, the weather stays favorable, and the traffic is light.

    M1028 Cracked Transmission Case

Look for dents/scratches/marring on the frame near the dent in the driveshaft, I've seen many a bent one from fork lift loading. The off balance driveshaft may have caused the crack as well if it were severely out of balance, but I'd think you'd feel that going down the road. If you could post a...

    Deuce clutch adjustment

So after measuring everything twice over with tapes and scales, all is adjusted properly, pretty sure I'm just an idiot with low transmission oil....... Then after checking, turns out I'm an idiot with too much transmission oil, or so I believe. I did the knuckle test and rather than having a...

    Deuce clutch adjustment

Anyone have a guess as to what the rotational travel of the throwout lever is supposed to be? In the picture posted here of the pulled transmission it looks like it sits at rest at 11 o'clock, mine is sitting at rest with all linkages connected at about 12 o'clock, and the complete pedal motion...

    Dumb question about fuel

https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/fuel-storage-and-filtering.217862/ Some good info there https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/waste-oil-filter.209312/ Some pics in there and more info. Filtering is very important, lots of ways to do it. Find what you like is my philosophy.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

The green is a bit lighter than I'd like, but all in all for a little rattle can and time, fantastic coverage. We'll see how it looks after clear coat.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Sanded some panels down, hitting the rust again and buffing the gouges tomorrow, then paint. Gotta love rain days
