    M1097R1 Cooling Problem

Either you have been buying bad TDMs, or you have a short to ground somewhere in the system that is overloading it and causing the instant failure. Not much else in the system really. Without the TDM installed, you shouldn't be having any overheating issues as the fan should be engaged 100% of...

    Storage charges from the yard

contacting the yard directly is the best option. As long as you are in contact with them and making it clear you are working on getting the item picked up, they will usually be a bit more lenient than if you just blow them off and show up a week or three late.

    HMMWV IROK Radials ROK-08 39.5x13.5x16.5

That's probably due to them being around for decades now. Most reviews and feedback tend to be on newer products, and the HMMWV and H1 weren't all that common, not to mention they were and still are expensive vehicles. You're right that specifically finding reviews for HMMWV/H1 with 39.5"...

    HMMWV IROK Radials ROK-08 39.5x13.5x16.5

That size was manufactured specifically because of the H1 community, as it was the biggest tire you could run without rubbing. You could probably do some H1 image searches on the web and find pictures of it.

    HMMWV IROK Radials ROK-08 39.5x13.5x16.5

They should fit without issue as long as your springs are not sagging, and since you said M1165 it's unlikely your springs are bad. Remember the stock 37x12.5 tires are designed to fit no issues while using snow chains that add to the diameter and width, so 39.5x13.5 should fit as long as you...

PETLAS Has anyone tried these tires?

I had Les Schwab balance mine, one was 9 oz off. They didn't get the clip on weights on very good; I went over all the exterior ones later after I lost one weight and clamped them down tighter. Haven't lost any more. The Centramatics keep everything in balance at speed, so mostly I just...

    New M1097A2 winner…owner

I know I bought 3 of them, only used one so far. Another local bought 6 I think, and at least one got damaged in shipping. After that AM General realized their mistake and jacked up the price during the free shipping sales.

PETLAS Has anyone tried these tires?

I believe that they say the bead lock rings are tire specific, because unlike the rubber military ones, the PVC ones have zero give to them, so if the size isn't perfect, it can cause issues when you are tightening down the wheel halves. Not sure if it would just make the halves not bolt...

HMMWV M1123 Clutch Fan control box disconnected

You can run it forever disconnected and the only thing it will hurt is your fuel economy. As long as the thermostat is doing it's job and opening at the right temp, the engine will come up to operating temp. In winter it would definitely be an issue though. The fan moves a LOT of air...

    Hard vs soft......doors

Yes. Hard door uses a post type striker, soft doors use an angled wire type latch

HMMWV M1123 Clutch Fan control box disconnected

Time Delay Module. It's purpose is to disengage the fan if you stomp all the way down on the throttle. This is primarily for water fording situations, to disengage the fan before entering water, or the fan gets destroyed. It also frees up the power from the fan system if you really need to...

    New HMMWV owner here

more likely 2008 is when it was rebuilt, not manufactured. Pretty much all of the rubber and wear items should be replaced during rebuild, so it's close enough

    Keeping the Humvee Running Cool

This topic comes up regularly. This is a diesel engine, this is not a gasoline engine. This engine likes to run hot. If you run it too cold, which is mostly below about 190 degrees, the engine will not have as complete of combustion as it should, and you will cause issues if it stays that way...

Plain steel 16.5 rim other than the stock 2-piece

From appearances, it's specifically for the H1 so should work properly on the HMMWV. The only difference I've seen between some H1 and HMMWV wheels is some H1 wheels are hub centric, rather than lug centric, and use flange nuts rather than tapered nuts to hold it to the hub.
