This diagram shows 3 phase. But it can be configured as such. I do believe it's important to point out that the field rating is 15 to 100 ohms. The 005 field is 2-4 ohms. Other members have made it work but it is out of spec

The one I've done required 3 aftermarket regulators and some rectifier assembles. I need to find my notes first though. There's another thread here where someone used a single unit, but it isn't within the field windings specs so I can't explain how it's still working.

Personally of it were me. I'd retrofit.

There is a test procedure for them, they are repairable with some skill. There are some aftermarket replacements that can be used but they require some rework to function

Avr is the likely culprit

Theres a few things that can be bad in that particular chain. The long hold of the start switch help eliminate some variables

Well the day has come, The new button was installed. I redid the flow test and #16 button was right on the mark. after putting everything back and bleeding she cranked right up. Here the video if anyones interested (pardon the mess I need a shop cleaning day)...

If I did the flow the pump test correctly it needs a #16 button. So now we play the waiting game again
