I made one and used an extra master cyl cap I had. Works great and it's Soldier A-only.

Well, I'm a geek for a living and have absolutely no qualfications, so there. My point wasn't who makes them. Half of mine are HF.
My point was and always is - use a safety or backup of some type. :deadhorse:
There's lots of room for spare cribbing or jack stands in...
I know it's really none of my business but after seeing the photo and guessing what those grey jack stands might be, you might wanna peruse this recent thread.

"...Upside down and backwards is lots more difficult with the consequences of age..."
Similar syndrome to replacing the air pressure gauge feed hose. Even with the passenger seat out, soft top untied and up, and feet against the headache rack.

Thread files (aka thread chasers) are fairly common on Ebay. That's where I got mine. The ones in the photo are for the bolt thread but a friend has one with those and then a round tip on each end with the companion thread for the inside of the nut. I'm still looking for one of those...
Congratulations. I pointed that one out to a friend down here who is on the market. It looked like a good deal with only minor repairs needed. Betcha it could have made a patient trip down if a tow was too expensive.

Very nice. Start getting it ready for that nice long (non-tpke, if it was me) ride up to the show in Sussex in April. Have your shopping list with you.

If you suspect arcing or smell ozone at all (garlic) coming from under the truck or behind the cab, whether driving or sitting, replace that switch without delay. It's a trivial job and expense, and it can avoid a huge smoke display (especially if there's brake fluid residue around it). [Don't]...
"...this one has been sitting in front of a trucking company for six or seven years..."

It's OK. We're talking about a potential MV horse-trading deal.
