Did some wheel/tire swapping today among the A3's. The donor is on 6x 20 ton earth mover stands so it's not going anywhere lol. I'll slowly pick her for parts as I need them for the other two trucks. I know they're not the typical A2 banter but hey.. a deuce is a deuce.
You'll do fine. I always have that feeling too when starting the brown and black. Just make sure to start with the brown and eye areas that it can be overlapped by the black in case of any over spray. Color theory and working smart at its best. You can always add but not take away... general...
Washed, ground, and painted the base coat on this M35A2. Brown and black to come. I feel if I could get the green a little darker a black Army start would be enough. I may do one like that later.
I received this M35A2 w/w from Jeepsinker yesterday after he went through the truck. 2008 rebuilt engine, G177 tires, air-assist steering, peashooter brake lines, and more. All it needs is A/C and it may be a decent commuter vehicle. :p I plan to get it painted and spiffed up.
You are correct!
You are so correct on all those points.
It looks like it but the forklift got the fuel tank and toolbox. I'll have to pull and replace those.
It had heater, hard top (obviously), parking brake upgrade w/ dash light, and it looks like they wired in a 7...
I never thought I'd post to this thread again but here we go. I got this M35A2C in yesterday from auction and she's in good shape. Started with new batteries and everything works. 88' Airforce Deuce. I need to replace the tail lights are they are MIA.
Jeepsinker and Nofearnohope were giving me a hand today getting some 109s back on their feet. First one is alive and well. More to come.. also the perk of working with a wrecker (shade!)
I don't mind the questions. I do them for fun mostly. The satisfaction of painting and creating is more thrilling for me than for most. I don't usually sell them but people do tend to walk up with money at times and a deuce goes to a new home. I consider it one MV saved from the scrapper. [thumbzup]
This would be my 4th deuce I've gone through with a fine tooth comb. The light bar came on it as this deuce was in service at montgomery air force base. Here are my other three.
