I will be pulling the dash this week. Yes the heater works. The 4wd light comes on when engaged don't remember if the oil light works or not but I will test that while I have the dash apart

no gen 1 light with key on engine off. voltmeter never gets full. gen 2 charging properly. i have went through the TM's and wiring diagrams as best i can. the excite/ charging plug red wire has 12v key off. the brown has zero. with key on they both have 12v. main red wire has 12v. heater blower...

yea i searched and found a lot of similar posts before i posted but all the ones i read wound up being stuff i already checked. like the fuse or loose connectors or bad grounds and such i didnt test the exciter wire because my multimeter went dead and i don't have another battery at the moment...

as the title says the gen 2 light comes on with the number 1 as it should before starting. but when you start it the gen 1 goes out like it should and the gen 2 light stays on bright and the volt guage stays in the yellow. is it bad? all the fueses in the box are good where is the relay for...

ok i got a question the #1 alt on drivers side. isnt working according to the tests in this thread but i have another wire im not sure about. my alt has the ground wire the red hot wire the 2 wires in the plug (one red and one brown) and then another little brown wire that has a push on style...
