MEP 802 and MEP 803 Quad Fuse Modification Information

I have had a MEP 802 for a few years now but haven't had to use it since the local (Potomac Edison) power company has improved the maintenance in my area. Its good that the electric has been on and have not had to use the gen much but that is OK with me. One thing that my son found out about...

How do you move your generator(s)?

I live pretty close to Letterkenny so I prefer to buy one on a military trailer. Only problem is the full size foot print of the trailer. Is it so odd that once you get one gen set it automatically turns into two or more. Just a thought to new surplus buyers military stuff sometimes military...

    Mep 804A

I come and go with life's issues but now I just bought a 804b at Letterkenny. About a year or two I was working on another gen set I bought and found that "Someone told me" is quite an expert on gen sets. He worked on them many years and I am impressed with his knowledge. You will be to if you...

    Inflation and MEP replacement parts

I am a Diesel supporter ( Ford 7.3, VWTDI, Kabota Diesel, Nd MEP 802). But just weekend I visited my Cousin and she had a Chevy Bolt. On the dash display it reported since last charge 70 miles use 15kw. Is this normal? At 10 cents a kw here (MD) times 15 = $1.50. My grand Cherokee at 17mpg gas...

    Inflation and MEP replacement parts

One of the grand plans is; Electric vehicles plugged in charging. When grid needs power it would skim some back out of the car batteries till the grid leveled out. Then it will go back charging. Sound strange? Bet its not. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

13-15 May 2022 , Maryland, 48th Annual East Coast Military Vehicle Rally, Wings & Wheels plus Militaria Flea Market

Attended Friday with a few rain showers. Lots of great vendors, bought several items. The military vehicles were very nice. Even had a early 1960s maintenance truck there with a driveshaft operated generator / welder on board. If your in the area support the event. Its especially good now it's...

    Printing Posts

Is there a way to print a thread to a file to store on my PC? Pictures and words. I was able to do it on a tablet once before. I can't seem to do this on my current electronics. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

Vintage pics of M809s at Aberdeen Proving Ground

Wonder how the dash gauges and electrical components hold up to the river forwarding? Not to mention water getting into all the gearboxes. Not a concern when at war but as a hobbyist a lot of work to clean it up afterwards. Thanks for posting pics are great. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    I think I messed up. Won't start

I did figure that it could be removed and a person just has to pull the manual shut off. Our truck the solenoid started working again for some reason. Just Wondering it that is common or a fluke. Any good leads out there for a spare to purchase beside flebay? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    I think I messed up. Won't start

So was the solenoid bad? Or did you just have to set it up for this start up and it works as it should now. Just curious we bought a 5 ton and the solenoid wasn't working and we had to zip tie it. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
