Info on this trailer its a USMC M118A1 sold out of barstow along time ago. A fellow club member had it it California only reason I have this is because I hauled his M35A2 to Las Vegas on a trailer for him.. data tag on the trailer says it was rebuilt at barstow in 4/8320181012_153132.jpg20181012_153128.jpg

Another thing the side bin latches where rusty and would not open so i cut the hinge at the bottom and poped the door off to find a canvas cover for the trailer brand new just covered in dust. Anyone know where i can get the side panels for this trailer? The canvas even had a little pallet maybe for water?20181021_171214.jpg20181021_171221.jpg20181021_171236.jpg20181021_171906.jpg20181021_171912.jpg20181021_171919.jpg20181021_171231.jpg

Great thread. Thanks for starting it. I would love to have an M118 for my M275. Sadly, next to impossible to find one. Will be following this with a lot of interest.

I know where there's 2 more on the west coast but getting them might be hard.

5 brand new tires mounted and put on the trailer yesterday.20181027_143718.jpg

Sad thing about my rebuild the USMC paint is going to be replaced with U.S Army OD green same with the markings.

Storage box door has been fixed. Also we made a spare tire lift plate, trailer didn't come with it. Lights striped off trailer. I need to fix the glad hand connections they where broken off and thread where damaged. Almost ready for painting.

had any luck on the side panels? Or the other miscellaneous items you wanted? Looking pretty good so far and you seem to be making good time.

No luck on side panels. I would pay real good for them.. found the landing gear shoes at napa will let you know if they work or not

Old post I'm still looking for side racks.. some racks off the M127 trailers work but the M118 have 4 racks that have 3 stake uprights. Not the 4 stake panels on the M127..

So far I've found the front rack for the M118.. the 2 rear racks. And the 2 in the middle left and right.

Still need the 4, 3 stake racks to finish off this trailer.

great to see you are still working on this. I suppose fabricating the side panels are way too expensive. what about using the 127 panels as parts and reconstructing the 118 panels from those parts?
