M119 I picked from auction not too long ago. Don't know if the air brakes or either AC units work yet. Very little rust or other damage, lights work and the tires are in ok condition.
Took a few years but finally have my shell for a camper build! Tracked well behind my friends m915a2...
Kind of a last minute notice sorry. Leaving Eagle Mountain, Utah and headed to Midland, Texas on monday, returning next weekend. Will have a empty pickup bed on the way down and might have some space on the way back north. 1 ton pickup with a trailer hitch if you need a trailer moved.
Helping a friend out with his MEP 007b generator. When you turn the ignition switch on and flip it to start the engine turns over, but no current is being sent to the fuel shut off solenoid, the 2 electrical fuel pumps between the main tank/first 2 filters, or the solenoid that is mounted just...
What is the weight rating of the front leaf springs on the 5 ton trucks?
Planning a trailer project and trying to figure out if I can use just 1 rear axle with the front leaf springs, or if it will require the stock rear suspension.
Maximum trailer weight including payload would be 25-30k.
Valence and I went on a offroad trip out to an offroad area nearby, his m35a2 and my m816 wrecker. Many different trails out there varying from easy wide open desert to challenging rock crawling. Camped out overnight with perfect fall weather, highs in the 70's and lows in the upper 40's with...
Planning a little MV get together the weekend of October 21-23. Headed out to 5 mile pass, about 10 miles west of Eagle Mountain on friday to play around in the desert and explore some of the trails. Lots of trails in the area varying from dirt roads to some rock crawling but plan to stay on the...
In ways I feel sorry for this trailer haha.
The m816 has no real bed space so decided to pick up this trailer for hauling the cargo. How it looked when purchased...
Lights work, tires have dry rot issues and there is an air leak when the brakes are activated. So needs some attention but...
If anyone needs something transported it looks like I'll be making a trip from northern Utah down to Phoenix Arizona, and possibly over to Texas if there is a demand.
Having a very hard time deciding what camper/toy hauler setup to build and would like yalls opinions on this.
Main goals for the camper are the ability to explore to remote locations, specifically in the western US. A highway cruising speed of 55-60mph, sleeping for up to 4, normally 1-2, and...
Getting ready to move from Midland Texas up to Bellingham Washington. I'll be driving the m35a2 with cargo cover and a m105 in tow. Camping out of the deuce and all the stuff I'm bringing with me will be in the trailer.
Planning to camp for most of the trip.
Will be moving in about 2 weeks and will have some extra room in my deuce and M105 for cargo. Texas, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington are the states I'll be passing through.
Well, as the title states I'll be making a long distance move sometime between April and July this year. I'll be driving a 71 m35a2 up there with a shelter in the bed. Planning to go to school and enjoy the change in scenery.
Headed to there on the weekend of Feb 27-March 1st with a few friends if anyone is interested in joining. Planning to camp Friday and Saturday night, explore the trails on Saturday and Sunday.
So far we have my deuce, a friends 79 Chevy 1 ton pickup, and a jeep cj headed out for sure.
I have access to a mixture of waste oils and haven't been able to find much info on these for fuel in a LDT465.
Gear oil (90wt)
Hydraulic oil
Diesel engine oil
These are mixed in storage containers, rough numbers would be 40% gear, 40%engine, 20% hydraulic oil. Would this be a viable option...
Anybody up for a get together or offroad/camping trip that weekend? Looks like I'll be driving there that weekend and would like to meet up with some more of the MV crowd. Also planning pick up some wheels/tires and seats :-)
Picked up the truck about a week ago, today I've started working on it. Drove it a little over 330 miles home. Other than degrading brakes and learning where empty is on the fuel gauge it was a very good trip.
My plans for the build are to update/upgrade the steering and brakes, bring the...
