Ok, I just had a brain fart while writing a reply to another thread.
When I was rebuilding the FDT, the original composite (POS) grilles were long gone and got the new replacement steel grille .
Typically, all the ex-mil trucks I remember seeing all have the composite grille.. I’m just...
Rather than going into something blind, I thought to see if anyone has removed the spindles from a M116A3 to re-weld them into the stub axle after being shorten?
I am narrowing the track on a M116A3 to match up with my Pinzgauer ( roughly 10” narrower). I want to keep the raised center axle...
My recently aquired ATL Pinzgauer 718K
This is an extremely low mileage (262 miles) UK manufactured 718K, but what is also known as 758 (for the UK manufactured Pinzgauers). There are probably less than 1200 made.
Unlike SDP made TDs, this has a VW 2.5TDI engine ( the 5 cylinder version of the...
I have a 6x6 Pinzgauer that needs to be transported from Houston Texas to Arcadia, Ca (east of Los Angeles)
Vechicle is 18' x 6' x 7'2" tall weight is approx 6800 lbs.

Since many don't venture out of their 'niche' of vehicles part of the forum, I thought I'd post in 'member's rides' what I have made out of my FMTV ... I know, bad word to some.
If you have followed the thread in the FMTV section, you already know what I started with.
To those who haven't...
I have come to the point to straighten out the lighting circuits on my M1094. And because of the FMTV’s unique electrics, someone that has worked on them may know where my problems are.
First, a little history on the truck as I understand it:
Sometime after Sept 2009 ( truck repainted)and...
The question has been asked and I wondered, how many FMTVs are there out in private ownership? I realize it'll a small group, but interesting to see what has come into private ownership.
Post up your model and a pic.:)
My 'work in progress':
MTV M1094 LVAD
I got a call today from Pete on my M1094 that he had jumped wires under the cab and got it started . Since most of the fuses are missing, I was hoping to get a pdf of the power distribution power with the ampere and circuit use, so he can see if he can get the monster to move under it’s...
Well, for good or bad, I'm the new owner of a M1094 LVAD. Sold as a 'parts vehicle', my intial plans are to bob it to a M1081 4x4 and possibly mock it up as a "War Pig". Another thought is to find a surplus cab and make it up as a camper, until I have it here, nothing is set in stone.
I'm here...
It's been a few years since I last took my TD Pinz to the Mogfest at Calico, thought I'd share a few pics
In the last few years, I had brought the Supacat and Haflinger,
some of the "newer" Pinz owners only thought it existed in "photoshop"
Had to disspell those rumors:twisted:
The 4th I got a chance to be in the Sierra Madre parade as part of the Military Vehicle Museum (in south El Monte) group. I was given the priviledge to lead the group (Ii'm still not sure if it was a honor position, or to take the brunt of the water blaster attacks  ) ...
Hello All,
This is a copy of the post to the Pinzgauer, Haflinger and Unimog groups.
This is a chance to see some interesting non US MVs.
Sorry that I've been remiss in keeping everyone informed of this year's Pinz, Haf & Mog Gathering.
As many already may know, it is being held at The AmVet...
Took 3 weeks of waiting, but the "cat carrier" finally picked up my latest acquisition. with any luck, will be home within a couple weeks.
I've been keeping an eye open for Mk2 or newer Supacat for 6 years. Everything I've seen on this 1997 Supacat MK2A has me excited. 1.9TDI engine ( only 360...
