Allison "drop box" swap to a 2 speed transfer case!

You should find a t-case with 2:1 reduction and couple it with the ECO hubs!

Joaquin & Casa just checking in!

That's awesome!! I didn't even see the front of the car. I thought the "pod" windows were cool enough by themselves. 💯

Best way to remove the suspension squat sensor on the middle axle of M1088 (has braided wire loop on it)

The valve is supposed to mount to that 5 hole bracket. There's a procedure in the TM on how to set the tension. You'll need a pressure guage on one of the brake cans. Press the brake, check the pressure and adjust as needed. The predefined settings are based on each fmtv variant so you might...

    Camper Upgrades

Small crane or forklift rental, 4 casters, fab up a cart and call it done. After going up and down the steps 673x over a few weeks (months?) ripping out, insulating and reinstalling the interior, you'll hear me :D

    Camper Upgrades

Literally any car audio shop will install sound deadening at an hourly rate. Alternatively, take the cab off and cart it in the garage. It would be much easier to do all the work you speak of at ground level anyway.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Those reusable fittings are going to negate any savings you could possibly find, anywhere. They are $$$ You sure the stock hose is 5/8"? I can't remember but I didn't think they were that big. The hoses on the wheel valves are much smaller. discounthydraulichose.com has more options for...

    Bogie maintenance

I needed to look this up anyway so I thought now would be a good time. I think your page numbers might be off, by about 1000; you meant page 1610, 1624 & 1635. More maintenance details are in Unit Maint 4; 9-2320-20-4, section 10-5; pdf page 620 Oil type is in appendix D, Section II, item...

    CTIS mystery wires.

They go to a pressure switch that would turn on the brake lights, used on the tractor only. I don't know for what purpose and the device isn't labeled in the schematics (see G197) nor is it called out in the switch table. If you do trace wires on the schematics, the location direction call...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Prep makes all the difference with plating. Feel free to post more of your process. I tried the DIY route in the glasses for about 15 mins and all I got was rust. I caved, cheated and bought the copy-cad kit. I feel like it was well worth the investment. But, it's also catch 22. If you're...

Right Rear Light: Blinker and Hazard not working

From the A0 schematics, from the column switch, the signals (for the rears) go through diodes and then touch the coils for trailer (?) bulbs. If the fronts work, you can ignore everything upstream of the column switch. To check the column switch, unplug the switch, activate either right or...

    Winch install question/issue

For what it's worth - I wouldn't fret about drilling holes in the frame without a mag drill. If it's heat treated, it's not very hard. Only drill the vertical section, keeping a fair distance from the corners. Don't drill the horizontal flanges.
