    Changes to NC Titling/Registration Laws

So, I did Tag & Title on Buck Jones Friday. Super simple. I had the GP documentation, but needed the invoice. I was able to pull it from GP's site after a couple tries and emailed it to the wonderful worker. And done. Since I'm NOT going for a plate right now, I didn't do insurance or...

    Rick Larsen's Military Stencils

Rick, I missed this initially. I am sorry to hear about the passing of your wife and your stroke, but very happy to hear that you are recovering. You are a huge asset to the community and look forward to ordering soon. Best wishes!

    Need hood reg. number

"Hood" numbers on a HMMWV are/were an USAF thing. They have their registration number there. You have the equivalent for the Army ( NG4LWL ) But until the last decade or so that wasn't usually on the outside of the vehicle, it was normally on the inside of the A-pillar by the driver's left...

Is GP now painting over the military vehicle markings?

Doesn't surprise me at all. they already require Army unit markings to be covered. Actual compliance varies.

    Deuce Camo Active Duty

So the first one made me do a double take, my National Guard unit was 32 BDE 2-128th (B Co I think? man it's been a minute) The second one, We have a unit that does that Mission on Bragg/Liberty. They took over my old company's motorpool, and the have an MTV with a control tower mounted.

Calling All Cars! Need as much info as I can get on MP Humvees.

The last MP HMMWVs I was really familiar with were new M1151 up armored gun trucks. They had the standard chicken plate. They did have 2x smoke grenade launchers on opposing corners, I want to say TC front and driver's pasenger rear. They also had an additional antenna, but I don't know what...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

Are you good now? I was going to say I can check when I get home from vacation. Took a bit of time off from here and catching up on various things as I hope to start my rehabs this fall.

    Mobile air compressor g-311-pc...nsn4310008438885

Price would be the original acquisition price, **IF** it was in the system when it was demil'd. If it was old then that price may be a random arbitrary number. The woman was probably a snippet from PS Monthly.

Curious what was mounted to the left fender.

No, last time I was close to one was a long time ago (let's not talk how long ago). the one we had that supposedly worked had a larger antenna base than juan's photos. But the bolt pattern on top of the fender looks to be the exact pattern of the base and amp. I know there was a whole issue...

Curious what was mounted to the left fender.

Harris VHF radio set. They usually mounted to either the transmission tunnel or the rear fender top. and the antenna was side mounted because it was super long (think old whip antenna length) and had to be tied down when not in use. It did not use the standard SINCGARS antenna.

Is there a way to trace a HMMWV back to where is was deployed by the serial number?

No. Read my signature block. I haven't been able to pull information in years. You need to do an FOIA request (which is linked in my signature block).

    Fayetteville Govplanet yard

Once you start heading down the road they have signs pointing you to the right spot. AFAIK it's still there. and AFAIK they are open.

how did the papers look like you stored in this folder

APS-3 will have separate requirements over APS-1,2,4,5,6, or 7. This is due to how/where it is stored vs. the rest of the APSs.

I know you found some but I had a stack a couple years ago at Denton and couldn't move them.

    Truck History

I was one of two who used to look up the info. But when the Army went to a new system, we both lost access. FOIA is pretty much the only way now.
