Thanks- Yea i saw that too but doesn't make sense to replace the whole bushing/ bushing is fine it just the rubber gasket boot that is dry rotted...
like I know my 2.5 ton truck had zipper boots and I replaced without replacing the bushing... I donno- hoping someone has had this happen to...
oh yeah I had the tires spinning - I was playing and yes had them spinning long enough to have the drum move but like i said the drum just stopped... and didn't even spin a inch a minute. I had the truck throttled up with foot brake on and in neutral and the winch was tight and then nothing...
yeah I tried using the pintle on smaller trees and worked fine but wanted directional and constant pressure so when I cut the tree half way I could just pull it down "controlled"
also a rope of 150ft i don't have I need like 2" rope and I only have 1" ropes which is about 100ft +/-
I also...
Yes- I tried both neutral with brake applied and just the parking brake applied and in gear while going in reverse so the rpms are going... and still nothing.
I had half the spool out... probably about 150 ish ft... I was thinking of doubling it up but wasn't in the mood to take the pulley...
yes if the weather is nice out then I will try to do a few pics/videos. It seems everything works but has no "balls" when actually in use which I had a m35a2 and was awesome and had to buy extra sheer pins (haha).. I expected more out of my m925a2 and is defintily not the case. I checked...
Hi all- I have a M925a2 . Been messing with the truck for years and its been fun. I have used the winch for stupid things and pulling cars from out of ditches and always worked with out a problem. I was "playing" and was trying to use my winch to pull a tree down when cutting it. Noticed...
Forgot to update: I went with Grundy insurance. Only thing was it needed to be garage kept! Lol. Luckily I have a barn. Was cheaper than everyone and was similar. Thanks everyone for your input…
Hi all- So got this truck a few months ago and been driving it and doing a few little things etc. Lots of fun especially in New Jersey.... however I noticed that I don't feel the jake kicking in. Can anyone tell me if they hear or feel the jake when driving this truck? I have gone on...
hi- does anyone have any ideas where to hook up a 12v outlet on their m1070 HET? Is there any connections somewhere in the truck that someone found? I know that they used laptops in the trucks but I can't find anything. I know I can just run a direct line from the battery but might ask the...
So just got an m1070…. Pictures didn’t show this as an issue till I got it home…. Anyone have any ideas where I can get a grease cover boot or do I need a whole new bushing etc? Bushing is tight but I imagine once I start driving it will become a problem.
thanks in advance.
congrats-
yeah hagerty sounds great - sometimes i like to to go to home depot to get some materials. they said i am covered but only for parades... :cautious:
I totally agree. Just curious how they did it! Not saying I am going to insure it as a camper. I already have a 45 ft camper. But its funny that people without a cdl with a camper can drive a 35000 earthquake on wheels and have air brakes etc... not even adding a trailer haha... For me...
Thanks for the info- the quotes I got were with commercial insurance- its not possible as of yet to get "cheap" insurance for this truck- I have a m925a2 and its 300 for the year. but its the weight of the truck. hence it has to have commercial insurance. thx
Thanks- No I don't have any tickets. Fully clean driving record for 20ish years. cdl for 10 years and no tickets either...
never hurt to tell them- thanks for the info- max speed is funny on a truck like that. but i know I will get there and back hopefully
