What is this 14 volt alternator terminal for?

I recently discovered there is a terminal on the alternator of my A2 deuce that puts out 14 volts. It is next to the 28 volt terminal that is connected to the starter solenoid. Does anybody know what it's for and can it be used to supply 12 volts to accessories like CB radio, cell phone...

    What is this goo??

I've had some red "goo" seeping from between the leafs of the front springs of my deuce since I bought it two years ago. At first I thought it was oil/ grease dripping off the engine but clearly it's not. Any idea what it is and should I do anything about it. Thanks.

    What goes here?

I removed the propeller shaft between the transfer case and the front rear differential so I could remove the parking brake shoes. On the end of the tube facing the parking brake drum is a hole. The TM states that there is supposed to be a "breather" there. Does anyone know what this is and...

How to set Deuce idle speed

How to set the idle speed on the LDT-465. This will be a refresher for some and new info for others. The idle adjustment screw is located on the side of the injection pump, below the FDC if so equipped. It is held in place by a 7/16" jam nut. Loosen the jam nut by turning it to the left...

    Deuce fuel pump blowing fuse

I've searched through the threads but can't find anything that really covers my situation. I replaced the in-tank fuel pump seal as it was leaking. I re-installed the pump and it wouldn't start. I discovered the fuse had blown. I replaced it only to have it blow over and over. I remembered...

    Another leaking hydraulic head

Hey folks, I've read many of the threads about leaking hydraulic heads but I'm not sure which direction to start in. Mine started leaking on my A2 deuce yesterday. (LDT465-1C engine) The first photo shows a pencil pointing to the area where the leak appears to be. (At least in that area). I...

    Deuce gauges have gone loco!

About 2 months ago I replaced all the gauges on my A2 deuce with new ones and I also replaced the temp and oil pressure sending units. All gauges have worked fine since then. About 2 weeks ago I parked it and did not drive or work on it for 2 weeks. I went out to start it and it started up...

    Deuce Floor Insulation

Hi everyone! I'm a new A2 deuce owner and I'm preparing to insulate the floor and cab of my truck. Not sure what product I'm going to use yet but I was wondering if it's necessary to leave the access panels on top of the transmission, well, "accessible"? Do you veteran owners ever find it...
