    Riddle me this (wiring harness)

Oh I see. Thou shalt never publicly criticize the help. Okay for them, not for you. Gotcha.

    Hood Hinge Question

You may want to replace them with zinc plated bolts and nylon (insert) lock nuts. Bolts and nuts are cheap, rusty ones are a PITA and a future speed bump for maintenance. Every time I pull a part off the Deuce, it gets new bolts with a light coating of 'Never seize' (if rusty, heads are worn...

    Riddle me this (wiring harness)

Yes, I agree. As to why the posts go unanswered, just check some moderators behavior and you'll see why. As for me, I'm not one to be intimidated by the 'rotten toothed alligators' that cruise this swamp, nor should anyone else.

Mutt advice before I pull the trigger, help me out mutt guys!

Okay, here's my take. When you're dealing with a unibody, rust through is serious if you can't get replacement panels. Yeah, it's an M-151. But don't fool yourself if you think you don't have to repair those body panels because they provide rigidity to the entire vehicle, they're not there for...

    Riddle me this (wiring harness)

Which exactly the point of the post. Happy to see someone else that sees the value of sharing information. Here's something to consider for those less inclined to mind their manners when information is shared, say 'thanks' and be on your way. Some of the folks who actually find something out...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Oh gawd. I laughed when I read your post. Yup, just when you think everything is going to get better and you want to do something simple..... Well, you're not alone Kimosabe! Seems that notion of 'no problem, it's a simple task' is the jinx!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Removed the windshield glass frames, scraped light rust, inspected the wiper motors (one bad), masked and repainted the frames, tossed the 1/2" 10-32 steel rusted screws for some nice stainless 1/2" 10-32 screws and WHAT A MONUMENTAL PAIN IN THE ASS to remount! Had to use a cardboard apple box...

    Paint chips link (resource)

Good source for the official stuff, so use it if you want. Lots of suggested schemes out there, but this is a good site to get your act together on numbers and colors. I found it useful in getting the right colors down for my rig, perhaps you will too...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Nice. What a Dad! Wish my old man had a Deuce when I was a kid to go camping in. Smiles all around!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Nice! Thanks for posting the pics. Your truck looks like a big ol' boat in dry dock! The effort will be worth it, a nice chance to spray some decent rust inhibitor on that steel skin. Keep at it brother, it's a labor of love.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

HAHAHAHAHA Ummm, I think that particular vehicle may have been modified by those bored window lickin' Rat Finks over in Motor-T.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I've seen around 90db running a straight pipe in literature. Your DB measurement fits right in there.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Okay, at this point in time, I have more tools and material laying around than I do money. I know I'm the ONLY ONE that has ever happened to, right? And I have some time, so I fixed my soft top today. Blasted leading edge stitching came loose, and that plastic J-Channel is a joke...

H4 90w/100w bulb upgrade. opinions needed

From my experience in using 55-100 watt H4 bulbs, you need to concern yourself not only with wire size, but also heat dissipation. Most professional applications I have seen that run that high of wattage employ ceramic H4 connectors for blade connections. They get quite hot, and you'll...
