Guy, coming back at ya. Not to many people south of the US/Canadian border know much about Yukon Jack Perma Frost Schnapps. It's pretty good stuff. It's big in Canada during Hockey Season.
Robo, I think the illegible letter to the left is an F with the Fox poking his head through the O, and with the right letter being an X. (FOX)
I really appreciate all the details large and small that the 3 of you have been able to add to this project. + Ahab's popcorn. When it's finished, there...
I think your right. The plates on the front look identical but the rear one on my truck is missing. I wonder if transporting Haz-Mat has anything to do with the Orange Logo on the doors. Under the bottom of the logo it has what looks like the letters NBCRS. Does that ring a bell?
Robo I got the video off of You Tube. There are some interesting videos concerning Military Vehicles on You Tube. Also I'm not sure what year the video I posted was taken.

Chris & Guy, I stumbled across the above translation service here in the states, and they translate technical manuals in something like 71 languages...
I called Alex yesterday and spoke with his Secratery (daughter) Shawnna. She said Alex was going to be out of town till next Monday the 24th. I am assuming that Alex is out on a GP pick up.
Chris, this truck was purchased by a friend of mine from GP (Govt. Planet) at the Army Base in Reno NV, about 3 years ago. We don't have any knowledge of this trucks history prior to the GP purchase. I'm hoping that when she finished her service with the Army, the Army just parked her and shut...
Guy I tried to get the last 3 numbers on the data plate pics on post 31 & 36, and just couldn't get a positive ID. I'll call them Monday morning and Matt should be able to run out to the yard and make a quick NSN check.
Guy I have all the texts downloaded and they're stored on my desk top. I think I need to start looking for someone to translate these manuals into English. Should I copy them on a disc and have them translated by a reliable party, and then printed in English for the mechanics? Then I can down...
A few more pictures. Is anyone familiar with the logo on the door?? If it is relevant to the trucks history, we might like to include it when the trucks repainted.
Looks like I found the right thread for this restoration project. This vehicle appears to be a MAN KAT1 5Ton (correct me if I'm wrong). A friend of mine purchased this former US ARMY truck about 3 years ago in Reno Nevada from GP. He had some other projects to finish first, and now would like to...
