Yeah removing from the truck and flipping upside down is not going to happen. My installation is not as bad as yours. I chased all the bolts with a tap. Only one had issues. But I definitely won’t take the ring off again
As I said , mine was totally seized. The brake handle stuck. With a lot of twisting left and right, it freed up a bit. There is a ring around the m66 . It has two hinge and a long Phillips head screw to tighten and loosen . Under that ring is a felt strip. I think it lubricates the roller...
Mine was entirely stuck when I got it. I used a forklift to install mine. So it was slightly less sketchy than your installation.
