Ha! Nah.. you're further around. I dogged off at 107 and again at otto rd. Gimme a buzz. We'll see what about getting the old rigs together tomorrow or something
Some do what they do without fear while others break the laws and want to hide behind their cowardice. Ie: hauling loads of gravel in a 923 without a cdl with antique tags.
If i recall, the affidavit i had to sign in the office, at the time i purchased my antique tags, specifically said no towing
Not asking anyone to bail me out. Having had numerous in depth conversations with the insurance man, im in no way concerned about not being covered. No mileage restrictions on arkansas antique tags. If your going to do as you please, you have to know what you risk. $100 fine is... just a bump in...
The only time ive been pulled over was because a corrupt highway police guy "wanted to look at my fuel". I jumped thru his hoops till he was done. Then i gave him a case of redass in front of a local cop about him doing locals favors. Im not a nice person sometimes. Around here, badges are...
The antique tag restricts your hauling to 1k# max and no towing at all. I dont pay it any attention tho. I just do as i please under the beg forgiveness statute
Regarding farm tags.....
You have to have a farm number. Go to the DF&A, and give them the farm number and youre set. Theres 4 different classifications of farm tag tho. If i can locate them ill post that later.
This sounds good for my wrecker. No cdl or towing/hauling/useage restrictions...
seeing as how it came with sealed beam headlights, id say leds are fair, however, ive done 2 whole trucks(front and rear), added lollipops, electric wipers, lockout hubs, 395's and some other stuff
as long as its GI, theres not much they can say.
For farm tags, as long as you dont venture more than a 150mi radius and arent using the truck in commerce, youre pretty well ok. However, (a) farmers are above the law in Ar, (b) i dont know the requirements for a farm tag. Hmm... i really should look into that!
M35a2 w/o winch is a bit over...
Air brakes are not the reason for the cdl. Weight is. Air brakes is an endorsement. The weight of the 5 ton trucks means, by law, the operator is required to have a cdl
A minimum of a class b license is currently required in the state of arkansas for any vehicle with a gvwr of 26,001lbs. Any vehicle over 10,000lbs is considered a cmv, no matter the owners use, nor tag classification. Yes, you can tag it antique, still have to have the cdl.
No, i dont have a cdl.
oh and the aua effect is what brought this thread about and its what has me riled up too! when u read the statues for yourself, theres no mention of a min or max gvw or gvwr. just that ya cant tow or haul more than 1k lbs. why does it have to be so............ ok......... im off the rant...
well i now have 2 deuces and an 816 with antique tags. the girl was hesitant saying that they werent supposed to even tag bob trucks as antique but did it anyway. i dunno what or how my dear wife did it but she got it done. however, the girl didnt have a clue how to do a "title purpose...
