I finished installing Jake brakes and 25% over injectors on Monday. I’ve only drove it about 10 miles but it’s fun making all that noise. I got a short video with the jakes on medium. It slows down too fast on high to get a good video at that speed...
You must have. It’s been a while now.

I’m not really sure where they’re actually supposed to go but I put mine toward the passenger side near the grab handle. I know it would clear the shifter/ctis but I’m not sure on the winch...
I bought 4x4x16s. I think they wound up being around 13’ long. The stock boards were 1” tall so this raised it 2.5”. There are 5 bolts on each side that hold the boards to the bed and 3 indentions in the bottom of each one to clear carriage bolts going down through the frame. I just laid the...
I did put the box back together with clear silicone but drilled breather holes
I drilled 2 holes in the bottom, coated the solenoid connections with liquid tape, coated the solder joints with dielectric grease, then gave it all a coat of fluid film. Hopefully they will last this time.
Side...
Raised my bed up to give the 16.00s a little more clearance. Gonna give the wood a couple weeks to dry before I paint it.
Then I wanted to drive it and it wouldn’t start. Narrowed it down to the pcb and took it apart to find this mess. The solenoids have a 2018 date on them so this happened in...
Finally put my 16.00s on. Got one painted and decided I’ve had enough of the sanding so I’m gonna get the rest sandblasted Thursday. It rides and looks way better. Cruises at 60 in 12th gear at about 1700 rpm.
In that link you posted it says the bill was passed. I don’t know much about that stuff but if it was passed why isn’t it done? I couldn’t find anything on google about it.
Well that’s ridiculous. Cops are pretty lenient in my area so I’m just gonna hope for the best. Nashville is like a different world compared to where I am. As far as displaying the plate, I’d prefer to not get stopped so they can check and then have that lead to other questions that might...
Thanks! If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing.
Do you have a link to that info? I thought I studied the rules pretty thoroughly before I got the antique tag and never saw anything about weight...
Well this was a massive amount of work. I’m impressed with the rapco spray paint though. Probably the easiest I’ve ever used. Ignore the wires hanging down. Still need to hook those up.
I guess I should have said more. Yes it’s under the passenger seat. I’m working on putting front and rear light bars on so I figured I’d go ahead and wire up 6 relays/switches to run anything I decide to add later.
