How are those lights working for you? I am going to put a set on my truck and am trying to find a good set that will also fit in the bucket. I got a few, but they didn't fit.
wipers
On my way home from work the wipers started to turn into spaghetti. I had some new 13 inch wipers sitting around so I made a quick mod. took off the original wiper and noticed the steel bracing fit inside of the new wiper but the pin was in the way. Drilled out the rivet pin and it fits...
The side covers fit ok. They have some bends and so on in them from use but that adds to the character and history of the truck. I am not trying to make a show queen just repairing the broken hood. I want to keep as much of the history intact as I can with some tweeks for me.
This is a...
Got my hood back and the repair looks great. We are fixing some of the small cracks and pits in it before we finish painting it and put it back on. Not finished the Camo pattern yet obviously.
My parking brake wasn't holding so I started checking that out. Found a broken return spring and the cable is jammed up in the sheath. It was an adventure getting that apart. I won't drive it until I get the parking brake fixed so hopefully the parts I ordered will be here soon.
I put one of the tires on the front today and replaced the original shock. The shock was toast. We will be replacing the other 5 this week and the other front shock. These were listed just under 500 lbs with the steel rim, tire and runflats installed. Then add the adapter and fasteners. I tried...
Yeah. When we jacked up the driverside front we found the out of balance wheel. it would roll around and settle on the heavy spot. Oddly enough it wasn't where the ctis gear or counterbalance was. Will be glad to swap them out and get a much better ride.
I got mine in June of this year. My nephew and I flew to Missouri and drove it home making a pitstop to my brothers in Kentucky. We went just under 1500 miles in 2 1/2 days.

Mine seems to be relatively quiet. I also upgraded from the factory muffler to an Jones turbine. I got some stainless pipe and flanges and matched the existing muffler setup. It sounds alot better and seems to be quieter until you stand into it. I painted it black and put the guard back in place.
I had the fan for the heater burn up the other day on my way to work. It was an odd smell. Not like a usual motor or transformer burnout smell but kinda smelled a little bit like antifreeze. The new one came in so I started the replacement but discovered it was a bigger motor with a larger bolt...
We started painting the adapters and rims this weekend. I am still sick and feeling like crap so my nephew did most of the work. I helped setup the ladders and tape up the one rim. Starting to look good thou.
We will be installing them this week hopefully.
