Fabricating up a faux Duke antenna. From afar, it will look the part once painted. Just need to remember to remove it before pulling out of / into the garage.

Removed the blackout stop lens and replaced with a clear plexiglass cut-to-fit replacement. Wired it up and added an LED bulb to use as a reverse light. Keeps the original look and able to convert back to original.

Finished the turret install (less the manual crank). Huey insisted on joining me on a test drive since the weather was nice.

Finished reconditioning the turret hatch today. New paint (already scratched), new fasteners with sealer, and EVA foam.

Now onto finishing the turret. Behr Ultra didn’t look quite so shiny in the garage. Hope it dulls up some when it fully cures.

I’m a believer now. Love the HF HVLP purple spray gun. Sprayed one coat of Behr Premium Plus Flat using color codes found on SS. Borrowed my neighbors 30-gal compressor which was definitely needed over my 6-gal. Will need some touch up on the light spots after it cures a couple of weeks...

What do you think that whole aluminum unit weighs? Bulky but can one person maneuver it? My garage height would not allow permanent installation, but a removable one would be a game changer.
