@frauhansen and @Godspeed131 - what are you guys using for a digital rear view "mirror"/monitor?
I'm looking for one for mine but haven't found one I quite like yet - I want a rear-view mirror proxy and don't want a split-screen/parking lines to be constantly on.
Given that your options are not carrying a spare at all, or storing it somewhere in the vehicle (on top is pretty much a no-go with softtops), I think the bumper mount is the way to go. It's secured to the vehicle and with the Rhino, lifting/lowering the 160# tire is done with the carrier itself...
I painted my doors to match the rest of the truck this weekend and used my wife's vinyl cutter to cut out all new sticker markings for the truck. I marked it up as a A/1/5SFG truck - I have a close friend who was on ODA 511 during the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. They used GMV's...
Refinished my drivers door armor panel on the GMV this weekend - I'm very pleased with the results.

I did the modification to that allows it to be used with a CB - it's worked flawlessly with it so far. I wanted to keep the "military" appearance, while still allowing for vehicle to vehicle comms when driving the trails, etc. I've got the CB tucked away so it's not readily visible and it...
It's notched to fit in the bed at the 90 degree angle that makes the fender wall and bed floor. I had to drill holes and bolt it to the bed floor. I've also seen them bolted to the top of the fender so the tire hangs over the side as well as on the bed shelf, as in the previous picture.
I'm not in front of the truck at the moment, but it's the standard GMV tire carrier that were handbuilt before companies like MSG started making them. Here's a pic I took of an active truck not long ago - it's this exact mount.
I put the BFG Baja's on and installed my Lightforce Lights on the GMV this weekend.
I also installed my "center console" - a painted Coke crate with my modified ammo can.
Ha! You have more than me anyway - speaking of which, I'll need to get some grab rails from you. I originally had no intention of getting them, but then the running boards kinda fell in my lap.
I added a fording intake and exhaust to the truck along with a tube brushgaurd. It's not the full fording kit, but gives me the look of a Marine truck. I've since blasted and refinished the brushguard.
I then figured out that my wife's Cricut is able to print out convincing lettering for a...
Apart from wanting a vehicle that I had when I was in the military, that's the reason I got mine - making memories. My son is the same age as your son and he helps me turn wrenches from time to time and absolutely loves going for rides.
I replaced the throttle position sensor for the 4L80 today - I tested the unit that was in it earlier and it wouldn't produce the needed voltage, even at the max setting. So I replaced it and had the correct voltage and then some. I drove it around earlier - no issues and great shifting. I don't...
