Replaced the two rear output seals on the spindles, re-RTV'd the covers (8 bolts) and the covers in the spindle nuts. No photos... I'm on the couch with the heating pad and a fist full of Advil 😐.
Coug, did you remove the idler arm? If so, did it come out OK or was it a pain? On my old 998 I tried using all the normal tools and neither the pitman or idler would budge. Finally had to take it to a heavy truck shop and they got them out... I was wondering if it fought you very much.
Most all the major stuff is done. Got the Black Rhino wheels on with new tires. Round tires that are made of of rubber are so much better than rock hard egg shaped tires:D..... Couple of small electrical items and adjusting the brake light switch....
Picked up an M1123 with 18000 miles on it. Was camo but decided to go with the green paint scheme. Tomorrow will get the top and rear curtain. Then all the other stuff. I'd kill for a set of nice green soft doors.
Installed new battery cables. Got them from BatteryCablesUSA. Great site. You specify every part of the cable based on your application. I swear the truck starts better.... Also installed a 24-12v converter and a USB/cigarette lighter console. Will mount the console tomorrow.
