    5 ton air lockers?

If you need a factory winch kit I know a few guys that have some pulled off to fit your truck.

    5 ton air lockers?

If you plan to wheel much a winch will be a must. And lockers help prevent getting stuck but a wise old man once said 3 wheel drive will get you where you want to go and true 4wheel drive will get you in trouble. Lol same goes for true 6x6. You will get stuck eventually and it will be stuck...

    5 ton air lockers?

So far the trucks I installed detroits in the owners said they don't affect street driving. I've ran the airlocker 7tons in my mud trucks for years and am in the process of freshening a set up and putting airbrakes on them to put in a M936. The housings are the same width as a regular 5ton you...

    5 ton air lockers?

Gearhart Engineering sells new Detroits for about $1000 each. Not as nice as a selectable locker but if you use a "Cannon ball" in the front axle you will hate life and your power steering pump is gonna die a whole sooner plus any pavement action is a no no. At least the Detroit will unlock in a...

    5 ton air lockers?

That's why I said you will be lucky if they cost less than $1500. If you ever sat a 5 ton carrier beside a 2.5 ton carrier there is a huge difference in size. The chunk of billet it will take to make a 5 ton arb is probably $500-600 just for that let alone machining time and heat treat. The...

    5 ton air lockers?

Its funny to see guys say I'm in if it's under $1k. well knowing what it takes to build that type of stuff there's gonna be a lot of disappointed people. I'll be surprised if they are under 1200 let alone $1500. a 5 ton differential carrier is big and that's a big chunk of steel to make it plus...

    5 ton air lockers?

The only thing available as of now are the axles from an m1500 firetruck. no 5ton truck ever had airlockers from the factory. The m1500 axles can be swapped over but you have to use the housings for the airlocker axles. My friend is working on a drop in unit to fit the regular 5ton axles.
