I've inadvertently gotten into beekeeping this week with one of my 5 tons. The bees have been impressively busy for only such a short time but allegedly this isn't the first time for this truck to attract a swarm. Fortunately, one of my guys had the equipment and experience to relocate them...
I got this one back into fighting shape and wow.. it has power. Someone must have been in the pump because my GPS clocked 71 mph as did my follow car. Yellow isn't my choice of color but it's a decent paint job at least.
Woke this old gal' up and gave her a new pair of shoes. She's a strong running truck and moving on to a new home. I really like the 395's on these M809 series trucks.
Gave this one a facelift over the past few days: steam clean, grind, OSPHO treatment, rinse, paint Behr 383 Green. I'll finish the brown and black after it cures sometime next week as we have bad weather this coming week.
Another old gal' finished ready to rejoin the workforce. It's not too often one gets ahold of an extra long wheelbase truck so comparing it, M1085A1, M1086, and M1089A1 to everything it really makes you go "huh, I guess some of these other trucks really are short wheelbases".
The guy paid $16,500 for it. He drove it home 3 hours away being giddy as a grown man could be. I do happen to have an M814 in my motor pool. I just started on it today should have it done by next week and yes it will be for sale. I also have access to a super nice M923A2 with M105. I'd hop in...
A perfect specimen from the Ft Riley rebuild facility. 2011 rebuild all the way through and never issued to a unit. She, along with a few of her sisters, were given to a city where even they didn't follow through with their plans to utilize the trucks. This one in particular needed a cab cover...
Got these two girls in yesterday. Both "non-runners" and by that I mean city employees don't understand or care so they sell them as such. The dump needs a few Q2 valves and the M923 needs an air dryer, air tank, and driver door. They're a little crusty but engines are solid. Anyone parting a...
I'd imagine it to be safer than most MV soft skin vehicles for rollovers. With the cab being taller it's less likely to actually roll on its back and the piping for the cab bracing is sturdy. I don't see it being that helpful with any head on collisions unless you're not paying attention to...
I got this M923A2 ROPS truck up and mobile for the first time in a long time. She's dirty and needs some more minor lovin' but she at least starts and drives on her own. The engine is literally new yet the IP was gummed up from sitting. Such a waste of good equipment due to negligence.
I had a friend come over this weekend and twisted my arm  to turn some wrenches. I felt like taking some personal time and fiddle with the M757 to see if she would breathe fire. She has the rare LDS-2 so there's some funky modifications involved but at her core she's still a multifuel. We...
I had a customer call and ask for a demonstration of what an M931A2 can do this week, he wanted to move a building. I asked for details and he's in the premade housing market for hunting lodges and game ranches. We hooked the tractor up to their specialized hydraulic sled and pulled the 90,000...
