    To turn the engine over, put the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in 5th gear. (Park brake applied / wheels chocked, of course.) Take a bar or large screwdriver and stick it in the yoke of the driveshaft between transmission and transfer case to turn that shaft. Could probably also...

    Removing, rebuilding, reinstalling Hydraulic Head

    Pull the handle firmly, just don't rip it out. No benefit to pulling slowly. It's a pretty simple shutoff, once you can see what it does. Pulling the cable moves a lever that rotates a shaft. The end of the shaft moves a block that blocks a fuel passage in the piston.
