The southern forest heritage museum close to Alexandria, LA highlights the history of Camp Claiborne and the training grounds for the WWII troops that trained to run the railroads on Europe.

Lots of WWII memorabilia and exhibits in the main museum and surrounding buildings. Also cool forestry, logging saw mill, and rail equipment of the era.

Cool place to visit if your travels on I-49 take you through South Alexandria.
