Play = bad… IME humans can perceive ~.005” of play by hand. .005“ is outside of any DS spec I have ever seen(hinging test, ect) Especially when talking about driveshafts and pinions, felt movement = fix it NOW…
Partially operable… you will loose that system that is fed by the tank you drained. Federal motor vehicle safety standards(FMVSS) dictates that the systems be separated. They are fed with a common source(compressor, dryer, wet tank) but thru individual check valves on the service tank inputs...
I should have mentioned thats a rear handle, those have no locks and fit with only a little door skin modification and of course fabricating a back side bracket that sandwiches the door skin when bolted to the back of the handle. the front handles have locks and are ~1/2" longer. I did the...
95-04 4runner or tacoma. I have been running toyotas since mid 80’s and have never broken a handle. Currently running 5 with these vintage handles(6 if you count the LMtV) in my immediate fam without issue.
tons of these in junkyards as there are lots of these toys out there and the handles...
It depends on the truck. The A0 uses 12v to turn on the 24v ign Relay and has no 12v ign relay.
the A1 uses 24v to control the ign relays and has 12 and 24v ign relays.
I swapped my A0 ign control over to 24v control to avoid low voltage dropping the ign ckt offline during a start.
the cool...
TO TEST IF YOUR EMERGENCY BRAKING INVERSION VALVE/SYSTEM IS WORKING:
This will work better with two people.
On level ground, chock the wheels, start the truck and fill the air tanks(dryer purges).
Apply park air/release the parking brakes and shutdown the engine.
Open the tank drain and release...
the 2 batteries are wired in series, which creates a 24v battery. with 24v applied from a 24v alt, both batteries are charged equally with nothing drawn from the middle of the batteries.
under normal conditions 12v from the battery would be disconnected and 24v would be used to create the...
Well I don't have to guess, I have measured/calculated it, for an A0 truck at least:)
For a 1078 with the specified incandescent light sizes and everything turned on and high beam while standing on the brake pedal ~27A @13V
I measured the 24V load on my A0 truck and posted about it. Those...
Ok, now I am tracking. You may be right the 2way function to combine either pri or sec may be in the park/trailer control…
on the A0 its a standalone 2way check right at eye level when you open the drivers door…
Yea like the wet tank plumbing so far, I suspect this will probably turn out to be an A0 thing. Unless you are specifically looking for it, It is up under the bed and not easy to see Unless the bed is off. i have looked at all that plumbing perhaps a hundred times, but it took having my head in...
Yes the top one under the drivers floor with the switch is where the front red glad-hand and air from the park control combine to feed towards the rear. That switch controls the park and emergency lights in the dash.. the lower two valves tied together are blue service glad-hand input to the...
Yea I think they did away with the park air controlled AOP supply valve in later trucks. I have seen one where the AOP supply is fed from one of the Ts on the wet tank.
the park air control supply 2way is in the cab on the forward bulkhead In the A0. not sure where it is at on the A1s.. pri...
I suppose anything is possible but it would require elbows placed where Ts are supposed to be and vis versa not to mention the line lengths might not work out for re-attaching existing lines. It would take some extra effort to re-plumb, especially like General mentioned, usually one piece...
