OK - now that the auction is over I have to ask what the history is behind these. They are some of the ugliest, but strangely interesting trucks on GL in awhile. Looks like a cabover version of the HET cab with a 600HP cummins and 6x6 - wow! If I wasn't always a dollar short I would have liked to bring it home - went for a lot of $$$

You need a ladder to get into those tractors....definitely a TALL truck.

They are MX Missile transporter trucks.

Were they 3 off or was this a model that Oshkosh made many of over the years?

I don't know what they ended at but the last time I looked they were all over $10K.

15K, 19,454 AND 21,010! I didn't figure they would get any where near that. Someone must have really wanted them. 600HP with auto and 6x6 - would have been fun to drive.

I previewed them several times and got my teeth kicked in (5k was my max) on the second day of the auction.

The GL guy let me check them out throughly and one was missing the steering wheel and the dash was FUBAR.

Two were jumped off and driven in from somewhere on Redstone......they are in fact missile transporters (Redstone is home of the Missile and Rocket Command).

I would have loved to pulled into the GA Rally at the helm of one of them.

Does it come with a cabin oxygen system? Crap, looks like a combination washer/dryer/refrigerator! Does Sears sell those?? I'd love to have one!
