Maybe a pipe burner from my parkerizing kit. I just really don't like the idea of flame around my fuel tanks. And I also would have to be careful not to melt the aluminum. Then I worry about what is going to evaporate more first, the fuel or the water? I don't want a cloud of kerosene vapor from it being heated making its way down to my burner and causing a flash fire.

Yeah, but is that a real danger with kerosene? I mean obviously it would be with gasoline, but that isn't the case here. I don't know but I don't want to chance it unless I'm sure it is safe or somewhat safe to do.

Knipco et al. heaters burn a mist/vapor of kerosene. Seems like it could end badly.

That was along my line of thinking as well. Not so much worried about a mist as vapor though. How bad does kerosene vaporize when heated though? This may just be a series of stupid questions, but better to ask and get scolded than to burn my house and property down just giving it a shot.
