On the road again

As you no by now we (Andyindy & Doc )went to drexel to retreive yet another truck for Ranchhopper on the18th at all started out cold and rainy . With some pretty bad rain on the way there not the prefect day to move a 814 with a duece but what the heck ya only live once unless your a cat. Fueled and on the ready in Risng Sun we head out on the next great adventure leave RS at 06:10 arrive at Drexel at 08:40 good time in a duece. Meet up with G/L Dave he's a very nice guy to deal with Andy an i check her out try to start this monster but no juice so we hook up slaves and get the junk top off bout this time Ranchhopper and G749 show up Ranchhopper and andy and i get the top started on then G749 tries to fire her up still notting so we opt to give her a tug . Looked like a nascar track round the lot every time we would pass Ranch and Andy they would give ole girl a snort bout the 6th lap she fired and ran great . The sky started to darken so we figured we better get the top on since I am gonna drive it out of the city at least . Get the top on with the help of G749 dump some fuel and conditioner in and say the good byes and head out the gate. The power steering on these is awesome no trouble at all in route got lots of thumbs up and alot of quick head turns . Then yesterday Ranchhopper calls and the 818 is 1 hour out coming in for the swap. called the driver to give him directions then wait till he got close so as we could lead him in . The driver was a very nice fellow quick to drop the trailer and off we go getting the 818 started and Andy backs the 814 onto the trailer get him boomed and he's outta here drop and swap in about 45 minutes had extra help from RSPaul,Curt,Andyindy,Eric ,Nate Thanks guys . Just one last think to say thanks a heap guys could not have done it with out you it good to have good friend like those here in this small town and here on SS site. avery good bunch of guys always there when you need them . Thanks again, Doc! I am sure he was/is appreciative. He is a nice guy. His name is Joe Jackson and he works for Titan Transport. They are a really good company to do business with if anyone need something hauled. Joe has a detach. The only catch is he generally prefers to stay south of NY and east of Iowa...although I would still check if you need something hauled. I've used Joe many times previously...as I said great guy and cares for your truck.

Keep an eye out for an Allis Chalmers tractor for me...190XT or larger...nice condition, but does not need to be a show winner.
