We sleep in the duece and would like to leave Sunday morning. Is anyone else doing this? We don't have a vender spot, will this be a problem?
joho, That won't be a problem, but everyone and everything is suppose to be gone by noon Sunday from inside the fence.

This is a Friday & Saturday only show. Most leave saturday evening, but a few wait till sunday morning.

Gotta ask, that close to home, why sleep in a truck..

I have some last minute loading and organizing to do, and it is off to Gilbert....

Now, SRJEEPER, this forecast is totally unacceptable...This chance of showers stuff has to go!!!!!!

I got rained on last weekend when I was deployed with the incident response group I am part of so enough is ENOUGH!!!!!

Heck, my chair has not dried out yet!

"Adversity builds character",

so I expect there to be a bunch of characters there this weekend....:-D

The Fairgrounds Association has spent alot of time and money putting in better drainage in the parking area the last two years, so there shouldn't be any problems.

*On that same note, lets all do our part to respect their efforts and stay on the stoned road paths as much as possible. If there is unneccessary damage the Redball can be charged for the repairs.

Could be a good weasel year, from what I read on the weasel forum there might be 7-9 of them this year!
I'll be there Sat with both cameras and lots of memory (for the cameras, my memory is shot!!) :cookoo:

Weather.com has now removed the showers from Friday's forecast and is showing sunny. See, haven't even put my fertilizer down yet, just thinking about it....[thumbzup]
Well, that didn't last long, they are back in the forecast, but as chance of. Guess it will be what it will be, the forecasters don't know until afterwards.....

Yup - that's called Arizona fescue. Do like they do, just plow it up, and spread gravel all over the place. A couple well-placed cacti will balance it all out. Or do what some folks in Florida and So.Cal do, and just pour concrete over your whole yard, make a big slab to park the green iron on.

See you all there....

I am trying a set of JATONKA AVM Lock out hubs for my first long trip to Gilbert and I also freed up the front rear differential by putting the front splined caps on after removing the axle shafts as well. The truck handles great and I am hoping to maybe pick up a smidge on mileage per gallon.

The LDS is not as stingy as the LDT is on fuel and I can use the help. I have been averaging 7 MPG, but then again, I do not normally have to downshift on hills on main roads. I would like to pick up at least one MPG.
John keeps telling me to get my foot out of the throttle....maybe that is my problem????? :driver: :jumpin:

We will see.

In any event, the truck is packed, the coolers are packed and all I have to do is load my back pack with my extra clothes and other personal needs and I am all set to leave.

See ya there!
RL.

We bring our K9 unit with the two GSD's and make a little camping trip out of it. My deuce is converted into a camper and the dogs love to sleep in it with us. I know the show is over on Sat. but it is nice to hang out with friends over a few beers and not worrying about rushing around Sat afternoon.
