Tire options for m35a2- so lost

Interesting you said that cause I just got done with a little research. The m54a2 weights in around 19000lbs. In my state as long as you're under 26,000 total, you're golden. And the plot thickens...

Tire options for m35a2- so lost

I thought about a 5 ton... but i.realy like the multifuel engine and manual transmission. Also if I want to put more weight in it besides groceries, I'd need a cdl correct?

Tire options for m35a2- so lost

I hear what you guys are saying about the city... no way would I commute in heavy traffic. That does sound stressful. But my commute right now is low traffic, very early in the morning, almost all toll roads. And even then I only plan to run the deuce when the weather is rotten anyway. Too...

Tire options for m35a2- so lost

I'm a millwright so mechanical is what I do. Actually from the videos I've watch these things have more in common with the machines I work on than regular cars when it comes to size and weight. I need to acquire more tools, but hey, this would make a great excuse for the wife when I have to...

Tire options for m35a2- so lost

. Ah ha! I see. So if I did some math I could find max diameter for both rear axles so the tires dont rub anything, convert to metric, and done. Ok that clears up some stuff. So the 11 20s are wider. I take theres probably a standard somewhere for sidewall height. Thanks that helps a lot

Tire options for m35a2- so lost

Also that gives me a 9r20 option. But I still dont really know what size these are. I figure the 20 is the rim size, but what what does the 9 or 11 mean? What is the 3rd dimension of the tire size?

Tire options for m35a2- so lost

Ya I kinda figure on that... but at least I'll GET there. Besides top speed isn't a concern in that weather when I'm lucky to get past 35 in my front wheel drive car with winter treads on. So where do I shop for 11 20? What size are they in the method I'm used to? When I search 11r20 tires...

Tire options for m35a2- so lost

Ok all. First of all, I know this has been asked a lot. Yes I have searched, but after reading at least 10 threads, and about an additional hour on google, I'm still just as lost. Second, I don't own a deuce yet, but am planning on it. Included in that planning is thinking ahead for cost of...

    M35A2 roadside kit.

Agreed! I dont think most of us are wrenching on this stuff professionally. Use your good tools for the stuff you do constantly and save your money when buying stuff you only need occasionally. Even my work box has harbor junk in it: stuff that's gonna get abused or likely to get lost/stolen...

NW PA: Anybody willing to let me test drive an m35a2?

Thanks for some of the telltale to look for. I'm a millwright by trade which is probably why I'm so attracted to these things. Heavy metal machinery is a day at the office for me . So again thanks for the telltales... every machine is unique.

NW PA: Anybody willing to let me test drive an m35a2?

Theres a garage across the street from my house the owner's used to park an RV in. To my understanding its empty at the moment If I have a successful test run, and am still interested in taking the plunge I'll ask them about renting it. Till then theres bo sense bringing it up. Kinda...

NW PA: Anybody willing to let me test drive an m35a2?

I've been thinking about a deuce for about 6 months now and think I've decided I really do want to make the leap as soon as is financially feasible (hopefully this summer/fall). I've found a place I should be able to park near my house, examined some financial considerations, etc, but since...

Brake problem - frozen anchor pins

I still think you should try the paraffin wax method. In my personal experience its amazing. I've had 2 in nuts that a 3/4 rattle gun wouldn't remove even after 10 minutes of rattlingHeat it up with a torch hot enough that any oil smokes off... heat around the fastener as much as possible...
