    Since the lock is discontinued; should I be thinking ahead and bypass the lock-switch, manually engaged all the functions (except start) with a single switch; and, then have a push to start button?

    How about a happy ending? The brake adjuster issue was spring related after replacing everything. The difference between good ole USA parts and foreign knock-offs was apparent. A trip to NAPA and the right , heavier USA made springs on the adjusters solved the problem.
