Since the lock is discontinued; should I be thinking ahead and bypass the lock-switch, manually engaged all the functions (except start) with a single switch; and, then have a push to start button?

Where would I go to find the switch, lock, ignition? I tried NAPA-they did not recognize the part #. Thank you!

If I go the route of having rims made, what size rims should I go with and what tires will give me a balance between on-road and off-road use?

I just a got a deuce and I'm need some education on tires & rims. I want to run super singles. I want to find a tire that's perhaps no larger than say 43" in diameter. What are my options? How much is it going to cost? For the rims I get, I want to be able find tires to fit them down the road...

How about a happy ending? The brake adjuster issue was spring related after replacing everything. The difference between good ole USA parts and foreign knock-offs was apparent. A trip to NAPA and the right , heavier USA made springs on the adjusters solved the problem.

Here's the update with some background: Since the local garage here is a truck garage, my M1009 is filler-work there. To date, the emergency brake lines, rear drums, brake cylinders, brake lines are all new due to age, Pennsylvania road salt and the new & improved Pennsylvania liquid road salt...

If the wrong fluid was used, is there a method / procedure for flushing out the system; or, do I have a lot of scrap parts at this point?
