I have been really busy these past months and I just got done scan through this post and seeing what has been said.
The issue with the State of Colorado and it Statutes, or laws Have to do with how they are interpreted and by who.
The original writer and the committee that agreed to it and...
It is almost the same, the ones you are looking for are from the S10 Blazer that had bucket seats and the S15 Jimmy same thing. It would be the 4 door ones if my memory is correct. Also in 1987 gm changed the full size Blazer to the smaller bucket seat that were in the CUCV M1009s. The M1010...
Just remember if you have the original motor it is a flat head and idling a flat head can build up carbon deposits on the head and spark plugs faster than normal. Maintenance for this condition could be more frequent although it is not to hard to do. Good news is the TM section has a manual on it
I see a lot of out of state plates “visiting” all the time. Yes, Colorado has a law about vehicles being in the state for more than just a short time, they must get registered in the state, but most cops don’t have the time to keep track of all the foreign plates and how long they have been to...
You mentioned in your first post about 4 states. Could you let us know which ones?
I am sure some in this community may be able to help with either time or a email/ phone call to help get this good stuff on the books.
Trust me it is in a thread here on this site along with the stance the Colorado DMV has been instructed to follow by the overloads which are the Colorado Department of Revenue who decided the incorrect course of action to take. Ok, that’s my rant, now for my future predictions, because of AM...
Not to be critical but I find AM General sponsoring a big truck event after they took the time to write to all DMV’s using such big words that scared most DMVs into denying renewal of on road registrations for anything bigger than a “Jeep” that was built for the military by them to be real ripe!
I have talked to different people about vin numbers and titles. With that said some rebuilders or "Hot Rodders" that do customs know the rules set by the government on titling. It is the vin number plate that is attached the the cab that is the official ID for the "vehicle" it is well known that...
It depends on the condition of you batteries and there ability to hold a charge. On a 12 volt system an alternator producing a voltage above battery voltage is almost always looked at a good indicator that the alternator is working ok. Usually most alternators in a 12 volt system will max out...
Just letting you know the glow plug system will only operate on 24v as wired. Also the starter system is also 24v so there will need to be replacement of a relay under the dash as well as the starter. Also the albulance box runs on 24v so you will lose the overhead light operation. The fans for...
The Colorado Legislator tabled everything not finalized when they got back from the COVID 19 "stay at home orders" to work on a bunch of new stuff that due to political issues of the times had more priority. The Legislator is now closed for 2020.
So, hopefully next year we get to ether start...
wyowillys46 is correct the issue is 1981 and newer needing 17 digit vin numbers. Vehicles originally designed and used by the military only have serial numbers and most don't come close to 17 digits in Colorado.
Now the rub is 1981 and newer and the fact the AM General put that letter out that...
