I just recently replaced my M1009 with a new COMBATT clone. I've already done the 383 green and kind of like it but have brown, and black standing by. is a blast to drive and gets pretty good mileage out on highway.:D
I have 2 M1009 Blazers that I am scrapping out have used small parts and drive train parts to restore M1008 pickup. still have lots of parts available.
When I was working in CSMS shop (84-85) I did acceptance test drives on M1009 and M1008 trucks and they all had Goodyear tires on them. We test drove them to check for any oil or fluid leaks and then removed the rubber floor mats and sound deading and then put down textured floor paint. as well...
