My first time with x-doors. Any specific advice or improvements?

Welcome. Since we don't know what your doors look like currently it's hard to say what condition they are in. The rubber seals around the outer edges and the felt seals around the window openings are repairable. The glass in the windows will eventually start to delaminate. The little roller...

Mk19 mount needed, possibly to fit an M2 tripod?

Mk-64 is probably the cheapest cradle mount for MK-19 it will have a small pintle on it that should fit in A M2 or M3 tripod the M3 .50 tripod would look better then the M2 tripod in my opinion.

Can you service a turret bearing?

If I remember the ball bearings aren't steel. Some kind of composite. It's been a long time since I had one apart. I believe it's possible that they can develop a flat spot so separating the ring and inspecting them isn't a bad idea if you have time. Especially if it's not already bolted in...

    New HMMWV Owner In Oregon

There are HMMWV's in Calif. With regular plates. Have been for years. Might be because they were from original auctions here but they do exist. So that kind of messes with the Map. So map not always accurate

Can you service a turret bearing?

You found the opening.!! Yes the ball bearings hold the ring halves together. You are correct no grease. Maybe some powdered graphite but nothing wet or sticky.

Can you service a turret bearing?

A picture of the bearing would help. I'm not sure if all the bearings are the same. The earlier black bearings have a round plug / seal in the inside surface of the bearing ring. Slightly larger then the ball bearings inside. In order to separate the two halves of bearing you needed to remove...

Operation: "More Cowbell"; my M1114 thread

Yes best color . You still need to mount a Vss-3 up top. Plugs right into the slave cable port under front passenger seat/ commanders seat. Just saying!!! 150 million candle power. IR or visible light. Adjustable beam width. Some guys go with the red Italian sports cars when they hit the mid...

But what you really need is a VSS-3 off of a Sheridan or M60 tank. Might be a bit overkill but then so is the Eye con unit.

Operation: "More Cowbell"; my M1114 thread

Ok. I have a set of the outer skins that were missing as well as the backing plates. I was told they were off of an 1114 anyway. I was going to cut the pointy part off of them and make a set of Jack rails out of them. Ended up using a set of the inner backing plates and making a set of MSG...
